Here is a summary update of AIHPS work and research program.

Roundtables

The AIHPS National Citizen Engagement Forum was held on 16th September 2008 (see below) in Brisbane and the final report of this event will be made available by mid-December 2008.

A full timetable of AIHPS related Roundtables and Forums will be made available by end of January 2009 to book into your diaries.

Citizen's Engagement Research Program

This has now been completed and all the documents are now available on the AIHPS website.

The Discussion Paper and the outcomes of the event are now available on the AIHPS website

The final report for the project, including the Forum event is now available for download.

This research is now being continued through into 2009 with the VicHealth Discovery Grant Listening to citizens views about chronic disease prevention and health promotion. Further information will be posted on the AIHPS website as it becomes available.

Further information about this project and all related project documents are available also via the AIHPS website.

Further successful grants... ARC Linkage Grant

AIHPS has been successful in its ARC Linkage Grant application for a collaborative project entitled: Citizen engagement: Listening to citizen's views about Australia's health system and prevention.

Further information on this study will be posted on the AIHPS website in due course.

ANZHP

The Australian Health Policy (ANZHP) open-access journal is ready to receive manuscripts that promote debate and understanding about health policy developments and practice in the regions.

The first five manuscripts on a special thematic series around Workforce and Public Health will be published online by mid-December 2008.

For article submissions and for further information visit the ANZHP (BioMed Central) website

Marketing and Communications

The AIHPS website is continually being updated and we would appreciate your feedback and comments.  We also welcome publications and other activities to be promoted on our website for health and policy related information.
